It was
just few days ago when news media
circulated this:
House panel votes to
withhold some Egypt aid
As you know that is $200
million from the US annual aid to Egypt,
and as you read above about the reason:
Until the close U.S.
ally takes steps to curb police abuses,
reform its judicial system and stop
weapons smuggling from Egypt to Gaza.
This is the US version,
which is unreliable; the real reason
reported by two Arab newspapers, shows
there are some hints of building
[engineered] obstacle(s) between Gaza and
Sinai:
Alquds…..16-June-’07
Egypt resists
American-Israel pressure to accept the
deployment of international forces on the
borders of Gaza.
An Arab diplomat said
that the Egyptian government resists
American and Israeli pressure to accept
the deployment of international forces
on its border with Gaza.
He added that
Washington and Tel Aviv, warned Cairo
that the non-deployment of international
forces will enable Hamas to create a
Taliban-like government in Gaza, which
threaten Egyptian national security.
According to the same
source, Cairo stressed that any
international forces will be treated as
occupying forces from the Palestinian
side, which will increase armed
confrontations instead of calming the
situation.
Almesryoon…..16-June-’07
Israel proposes creating a
"technical [geographical] obstacle"
between Sinai and Gaza.
During his visit to
the United States, Israeli Prime
Minister Ehud Olmert will discus with
President George Bush and Secretary
General of the United Nations Ban Ki
Moon, the question of creating
engineered [geographical] obstacle on
the border between Egypt and Gaza Strip,
in addition to bringing in multinational
forces.
